Another cemetary in Normandy. One of the soldiers buried here was in the Black Watch has no cross on his head stone. This is very rare. The inscription on his tomb reads

Died 12/6/44 aged 18
"He died as he lived, hating and fighting fascism so that others might live"
That's one of the saddest (yet at the same time most rousing) things I've ever seen.
