One major landmark on the road north is the border between Southern Australia and the Northern Territory. It's just so dammed big that they don't even call it a state - it's a 'territory'. There's no longer a proper speed limit on the highway and our drivers no longer have to fill in forms to say how long it is since they slept. It's grim up north - and spectucularly hot. This was taken in the midday sun and I was struggling after only 30 minutes out of the bus. |
