18. Killed by Death. |
| | |
While ill in hospital, Buffy believes she can see a creature attacking children on the ward. |

Great quotes: |
| | |
- Xander after Buffy mentions 'death': "If he asks you to play chess then don't even do it, the guy's like a wiz."
- Xander: "How're you gonna kill that?" Buffy: "I thought I might try violence.", sweet.

Fantastic moments: |
| | |
- Cordelia's euphemism about "Watching her back" is good.
- Xander challenges Angel in the hospital; round of applause for the big man!
- Cordelia's lack of tact and Giles' response: "Cordelia is Homerically insensitive but...".

Duff Bits: |
| | |
- If Buffy just had the flu, doesn't that mean she's likely to be immune somehow to getting it again so quickly?

Dean's comments: |
| | |
| | Freddy Kruger? | Very much an average episode, Buffy is put in danger but then finds that she can fight her way through and help others who can't defend themselves. At least the episode has the guts to admit that that's what it's doing. I suppose this is a rather literal visual expression of the current plot arc; you know, Buffy being vulnerable / ill and the Scoobies actually just being kids (final scene), but that's about it really. I'm never impressed by 'monster of the week' stuff anyway, just look at the way that 'Bad Eggs' copies 'Alien', this is copying 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. A nice bit of development in the Xander Cordelia relationship is the only other plus point. | |
